After more work, I'm realizing the Testors/SureThing software is just not going to cut it for the small size of decals I am trying to work up (it's geared to making big stuff for car model kits).
I bought an older copy of Macromedia Freehand from a friend over the weekend and will re-create my Freight/Pod art this week. When it's done, I'll repost a newer image that should be more useful to other people. |

How about "Orion Movers" from the original BSG---
You know, the guys who say "We move anywhere!" _________________ "The only thing we have to fear is.. fear itself!"--F.D.R. |

Do you mean 'Colonial Movers'?
I have that one in the sheet, about mid-way down, although I'm starting over from scratch in FreeHand and won't be serious about decals again until I get my contest entry finished. |

Many many moons ago, Saturday Night Live did a parody advertisement for an overnight delivery company for 'when you realy realy needed it there the day before yesterday.' They didn't go back in time or anything, but instead roughed up the package to look lost and battered and had it delivered by a punk with an slacker attitude, and would basicly take the blame off of you.
Now I wonder if there is any way in hell to find a screen-cap of any logo or such they flashed on the screen for putting on the side of a freighter. |

Ravenhull -
I googled around and never found that one. Oh well, I only have so many freighters anyways.
Regarding decals in general...
The weather is returning to Seattle-area normal lately (i.e. "rain"), so base-coating minis has ground to a halt.
Being inside has given me reason to get back on the computer and move this decal project further along.
I'm glad I junked what I had started with the Testors software. The software was really crimping my style, so to speak. I had a slight learning curve to go up with Freehand but now that I understand it I'm cranking out far superior stuff.
I've finished a set of windows and banner text for my starbase (to augment purchased decals). I also worked up a full set of decals for my Mobile Base.
I'm still working on some decals to "trick out" my Juggernaut, re-creating the freighter decals I posted previously, and re-create and improve my decals for my APT.
I should have a picture up in the next few days (depending on weather - if it's sunny, I'm painting).

That would be Jiffy Express while the one they did even earlier, that did go back in time, was Einstein Express. |

Ok, I see the Planet Express ship, but where are Awesome Express, and Mom's? Love the 'Slurm' freighter... |

I'm a huge Futurama fan, but I don't remember Awesome Express. I must've been dozing for that one.
'Mom's Old-Fashioned Robot Oil' is a good idea. I'm out of room, but if I do another sheet, I'll probably add that one. |

Cubert and Dwight open up a newspaper delivery service that ends up putting Planet Express out of business... Hilarity ensues... |

I'm coming into the homestretch on my decal sheet.
Last night I added some logos for "Awesome Express" (easy to get from GoogleImageSearch) and some saucer grey arcs for my older Fed-CA's.
I need to finish some hatches, etc. I want for my Juggernaut mini and I'll be ready to print.
Where and how to print is the next set of hurdles.
I can inkjet them myself (I have a fairly nice Epson 6-ink printer) but I really think they'll be crisper if I can find a way to laserprint them. The trick there is getting someplace to let me run decal paper through their printer. That might take some doing. |
