Well, so far, including the Squadron Box I just received, my Federation fleet consists of:

2x DN
3x BC
1x CF
2x CS
3x CA
4x CL
2x FFB
5x FF
2x POL

Plus whatever I may decide to improvise from other sources (some old FASA Larsons subbing in for the classic lollypop DDs, for example).

Ugh. I'd forgotten how much I utterly loathe the Condor.

Do you have the original resin Condor? I had two of those and it was a bit of a bear to get them cleaned up and prepped. I'm not sure how the current metal Condors compare.

I have a 2500 Condor in resin and a 2400 Condor in metal.

It's not the casting. It's the sculpt. I just despise it.

Ugh. Bought a set of Romulan Squadron Box 12, all metal except the hull of the KC8... which is resin. And has a gigantastic plug of resin sitting right on the underbelly of the main hull.

Gonna take a looooot of sanding. Where'd I put my dremel....

That's how Mongoose did them before they abandoned resin casting (due partly to customers complaining abut the big lugs on them).

We're converting the resin ships to metal, but we're not finished yet.

Thanks.

(It still doesn't fix the mind-staggering ugliness of the Condor sculpt, but nothing can fix that. Anyone want one? I have both scales, willing to trade for 2500-series Hawks...)

Actually, if you grab it with a pair of pliers and bend, it snaps off fairly flush with the hull (or at least all four of mine did). A bit of sanding and a bit of filling and it should be good to go.

Then modify it...

Cool

Scoutdad,

Has anyone mentioned what a subversive influence you are?

Very Happy
