Federation Commander Scenario Log #2 Released

Scenarios form a great deal of the history of the Star Fleet Universe. These scenarios (over 50 of them!) were originally published in Communique #1 through Communique #85. Here they are gathered into one spot as you requested.

Earlier scenarios have been updated to the current format. More options have been added to some of the scenarios. Even better, there is an index by empire involved and the number of players.

You will need Federation Commander ship cards and rules to play these scenarios; however, you can also simply enjoy reading about the various parts of Star Fleet Universe history.

Hex Map Pack #1 Is Available in PDF

This Hex Map Pack contains three maps in two different formats. One format is a single large PDF that can be taken to a professional printer and expanded to approximately 19.5" x 32.5". The other format is designed to be printed using a normal computer printer on six pieces of letter-sized cardstock and pieced together.

The maps are blank, but different color combinations. There is a low-toner version (white background with black lines that will go with the B&W version in the PDF version of Star Fleet Battles: Module S1), a deep space map (black background with white lines), and a blue one that is designed to match the blue asteroid map in Star Fleet Battles: Module S1. These maps may be used for Star Fleet Battles, Federation Commander, or any other hex-based game.

This project came together very quickly while we were busy and didn't get the full work up it should have (as far as the "sales text", the product is fine).

The hexes are 5/8 inch or 16.5mm across the flat sides.

This is a short-grain sheet, 42 columns across, 30 hexes per column.

Every hex is numbered as a standard SFB 4230 map.

Ship Pack for 2018 April Fool's Ships Released

On April 1, Amarillo Design Bureau, Inc. released four "April 1" ships in our shop on Shapeways. These are the Gorn Bubble Dreadnought, Kzinti Tri-Maran, Tholian "Crown of Tholia" Hexagonal Battleship, and WYN Heavy Auxiliary Mauler. People started asking for the information to play the ships. This ship pack is the answer.

In this pack are the ship descriptions and history, as well as information for games. You will find Star Fleet Battles SSDs in both color and B&W along with the Master Ship Chart for the ships, Federation Commander ship cards in both fleet scale and squadron scale, A Call to Arms: Star Fleet ship cards, Star Fleet Starmada Unity cards, Star Fleet Battle Force card images, and the Federation & Empire Ship Information Table. We included half-inch and one-inch counter images for Star Fleet Battles, Federation Commander, and Federation & Empire. Playtest mauler rules are provided for Federation Commander, A Call to Arms: Star Fleet, Federation Commander, and Star Fleet Starmada.

Federation Commander: North Polar Ship Card Pack Revised

Back in 2006, ADB decided to produce a ship card for Santa's Sleigh. This became an annual tradition and scenarios were created for the "ships." All these appeared in various Communiques until eventually we suddenly had 11 ships and 11 scenarios. We talked it over and decided to create counters for the ships. We gathered up all the ships and all the scenarios (all newly edited for this pack), and added the counters. Then we decided to give it away as a present to our customers. Happy Christmas! This year, we have updated the pack with the ships and scenarios published since the original pack was released three years ago.

The pack also includes the eleven North Polar scenarios that have been written to date. "Star over Frallia" pits the Orions against the North Pole. "Santa Meets the Monster" is for any empire. "The Klingons Throw out the Wreath" features the Klingons attacking the North Pole's base. The Klingons try again in "How the Elves Rebuilt Christmas." The poor Klingons never learn from their failure as we find out "How the Klingons Stole the Christmas Trees." Discover how "The Hydrans Meet Santa Claus." "Dismantle the Grinchy Base" pits the North Polar ships against auxiliary cruisers. In "Snowfall" the Kzintis are the antagonists. In "A Lonely Christmas" the Federation has some assistance from the North Polar Fleet as the Klingons try to ruin Christmas yet again. "North Polar Delivery" has the Klingons blockading a planet that the North Polar fleet intends to help. A trivideo is the basis for "'Twas the Nightmare before Christmas." All of the scenarios were written to feature at least one North Polar ship.
