Hi. First post.

I was wondering where I could get bases like the one below:

I've been searching everywhere but I have no idea...

Do ADB sell them? If so, how much would they cost?

Edit: Not working. One sec.
Edit: Now it is. Hooray for Photobucket.

Those are the original bases for the Starline miniatures, maybe even older than that. They may have been made for the original 5 mini set Lou Zocchi made.
I do not think they are available any longer.

I had some, but traded them off to another collector.
All of his were based on these stands and mine are based on the newer hex bases...
So we swapped.

Oh butts.

Next option is clear Games Workshop style ones used by the newer Starline 2500 series. Seeing as I'm re-basing all my stuff for that game.

Thanks anyway.

Confirming Tony's assessment; those are the old Gamescience (Lou Zochi) bases, which came in both clear and black (two-piece clear being more common). Task Force Games used them for the early Starline 2200 SFB minis, but things switched over to the black two-piece hex base stands at some point when ADB took over self-publishing.

There are options out there from outfits like Litko, etc, if you are looking for alternatives.

Personally, I'll be using laser-cut steel hex bases with Ninja Magic magnetic adapters on aluminum risers, when I do my next batch.

I'm converting all of mine to the Mongoose ball-and-socket stands.
Then I'm adding sockets to all of my Starline 2400 series minis, and balls to all of the black hex bases from ADB.

That allows me to swap minis between ACTASF, SFB, and Fed Comm at will.
Plus either of those other... construct your own ship fleet games out there.

That's the goal with mine too.

The heavy steel hex bases are dual-use, for either traditional Starline 2400 minis or for the larger Starline 2500, to allow either to be used with the ADB MegaHex/federation Commander hex map boards. The weight of the steel will help with stability for the larger minis. Fender washers weren't cutting it and just looked kludgey.

Because the minis are going to be on adapters, I can also mount them to slightly-modified Mongoose round-base stands for ACTASF. I might do steel versions of those too, just because lasers are awesome and fun.
