You've asked us for this and here it is! The SFB Basic Set SSDs have been uploaded into e23 and are now available.
The 48-page SSD book includes such classic ships as the Federation heavy cruiser and destroyer, Klingon D7 battlecruiser and F5 frigate, Romulan Kestrel-class cruiser and War Eagle cruiser, Kzinti battlecruiser and frigate, Gorn battlecruiser and destroyer, Tholian patrol corvette, and Orion Raider Cruiser. Three bases, 44 ships, and three pods for the Federation tug are included; requires the SFB rulebook to fully utilize the SSDs.

Edit: This is the current version. It is exactly what you would get if you ordered the book in print. Not every SSD has necessarily been updated with the most recent bells and whistles such as advanced shuttles and Crawford boxes. We will do that when we have time (new products come first) and you'll get the update free. _________________ Business Manager/RPG Line Editor

Reason enough to buy this. Guess I'll have to thaw out the CC when I get home. |

Bought and rated. This also pushed me over my waffling on getting the eMRB, which I also bought just now. _________________

Petrick has committed to update one basic set SSD per day until a new book is uploaded. Not counting sundays, that would mean eight weeks. However, he did six one day and four today, so he's ahead. He has actually updated 13 of the 48 pages so far. _________________ The Guy Who Designed Fed Commander

Changes to the Basic Set SSDs:
(R2.8) Federation Tug. Plus refit YIS is Y165. Petrick noted that @ means each, but I don't know if he updated or changed the P-CP to reflect that.
(R2.10) Federation BT. Plus refit is Y165.
(R2.10) Federation P-BP. Plus refit is Y165.
(R2.11) Federation P-CP. Petrick noted that @ means each, but I don't know if he updated or changed the P-CP to reflect that.
(R3.4) Klingon D7. Add 1 box to the crew units.
(R4.2) Romulan WB. Change explosion strength to 7.

Triangulum Galaxy: Star Fleet Battles Playtest Module E2 is now available on e23!
http://e23.sjgames.com/item.html?id=ADB7102
Beginning the exploration of this entirely new galaxy, this 62-page module includes three new empires:
The Helgard are from another dimension.
The Worlds of Unions consist of species controlled by Arachnid parasites.
The Mallarans broke away from the Helgards and carved their own niche.
Each empire comes with new history, weapons, and ships.
New technology includes neutronium armor, rotary shielding, battle armor for Marines, multi-purpose defenses, energy absorbers, and the blur device.
New weapons include the plasmatron, ram torpedo, proton pulse emitter, graviton beam, pulse phaser, hellfire blaster, particle shotgun, and hellblazer.
Twenty SSDs give you enough ships to start the conquest of a new galaxy. _________________ Business Manager/RPG Line Editor

I bought & rated the Basic set SSD pack. It was really cool when just a few days later the "revised" product came through, with the changes Jean mentioned. I highly commend the great work done to get products onto e23 and to Mr Petrick for the great job in updating the pack.
Guess I have to wait for the Advanced set next! _________________ Nothing is quite as persuasive as a disruptor pistol on slow burn and a rotisserie...... |

Module E3 (The Borak Star League) has made its way onto e23. It is a two parter with the rulebook separate from the SSD book.
The rulebook: http://e23.sjgames.com/item.html?id=ADB7103-2
Module E3: The Borak Star League playtest prototype. The Borak Star League existed beyond Hydran space and was conquered by the Hydrans in the Early Years.
The Hydrans later used the existence of the Borak to trick the Coalition into believing that the Hydrans had a powerful potential ally bordering their Lost Colonies region. This product includes a 56-page rulebook including all conversion data for general units to Borak service. The Borak Star League uses only phasers as direct-fire weapons, employing the mega-phaser first seen in Module P6 as its heavy weapon (rules included). It employs remote-controlled suicide fighters (armed with anti-matter bombs normally seen on suicide shuttles) as its seeking weapon of choice. A full set of annexes are included, but there are no scenarios.
The SSD book: http://e23.sjgames.com/item.html?id=ADB7103-3
The 76-page SSD book includes such Borak Early Years ships as the early heavy cruiser and warp-refitted heavy cruiser and other ships for battles in the Early Years period, as well as the advanced technology command cruiser and other ships for battles in the X-period. The Middle Years period sees the deployment of the Borak Expansion-Class heavy cruiser and other ships, leading to the General War era heavy cruiser and its supporting ships. A full range of fast patrol ships and supporting fast patrol ship tenders, plus the bases of the Borak are provided as SSDs. Also included is the Borak Star League's fast destroyer used as part of a raiding pack behind enemy lines. _________________ Business Manager/RPG Line Editor

Star Fleet Battles: Playtest Module R107, The Nicozian Concordance is now out on e23!
http://e23.sjgames.com/item.html?id=ADB7107
This playtest module presents all the rules for the Nicozians, a species which lives on a neutron star that is about to go nova and has dispatched exploration ships to search for a new home. Due to their environment, individual Nicozians are no larger than a grain of rice and their largest ship is no bigger than a drone! This module presents their unique rules for movement (Skipwarp), weapons (Skipwarp missiles, subspace auger, pulse phasers), and collapsium armor. Included are four SSDs (cruiser, light cruiser, destroyer, and frigate), four scenarios, and appropriate annexes. _________________ Business Manager/RPG Line Editor

Where were you in 1979? Did you get the Star Fleet Battles Pocket edition? If you didn't, then here's your chance to have a piece of history.
http://e23.sjgames.com/item.html?id=ADB1004
The game that launched an entire universe!
Originally published at Origins in 1979, this little pocket game was to prove to be one of the longest running in the history of the industry. Copies of this pocket game rarely show up on auction sites and routinely bring more than $100. Now, you can complete your collection for a very modest cost.
This is a scan of an original printing. We actually blew the original 5.5x8.5 pages up to 8.5x11 to make the original tiny 7-point print easier to read.
This includes the complete game, with the original rules, the eight original Ship System Displays (some of which had shaded boxes so they could function as two different ships), the original charts, and a scan of the original counters.
We did not include the map, but it's just a blank hex map and we've all got at least one of those anyway.
We even included the original advertising from the inside covers!
Complete your Star Fleet Battles collection now with the original pocket game! _________________ Business Manager/RPG Line Editor
