Star Fleet Battles: Stellar Shadow Journal #1 Is Now Available from Multiple Sources

Improbable History, Impossible Technology, Unknowable Species, Unbuildable Ships, and More!

This is the exciting new magazine of everything that never happened in SFB but was fun so we printed it anyway!

Improbable History: Klingon Commander Tak Katak built a career on aggression, daring, and outright murder. Plus, Romulan Republicans target the corrupt praetor in "Assault on the Imperium."

New Paradigms: The heavy gunboats that could never be built are more deadly than you realized.

Far Empires: Can the Peladine resist conquest by the ferocious Lyran Far Stars armada?

The Mad Scientist's Workshop: Find out about the warp gyroscope, enhanced proximity fuze, plasma scatter gun, long-range bolts, starburst plasma, and the black hole asteroid gun.

Olivette Roche scared everyone with a show that presented a ship that could copy your own weapons and shoot them right back at you! Simulator Cinema sends B-24, B-25, and B-17 bombers to destroy your battle station.

Shipyard of the Bizarre has ships that never existed in the Star Fleet Universe. Here you will find the Federation Flatbed, Klingon D17 battlecruiser, Romulan SkyHawk-K, Kzinti command carrier, Gorn sector control ship, Lyran Quad-Cat new heavy cruiser, Andromedan Emulator, Maesron battleship, and Andorian Early dreadnought.

This product adds new game play material for Star Fleet Battles. You must have the SFB Basic Set Rulebook (or the Master Rulebook) to use this material. Some material in the product will also require other SFB products. The material for Federation & Empire and Prime Directive requires those games.

This is an odd post. I bought Stellar Shadow journal #1 from E-23 (now warehouse 23) back in 2013. Was it withdrawn at some point and is now being re-issued?

What Jean is saying is that she just now added it to Drive Thru so it is now available from multiple sources.

And there are some folks who are new, so to them that fact it is on W23 is news, too.

Star Fleet Battles: Module M - Star Fleet Marines Available from Multiple Sources

Star Fleet Marines! The toughest hombres in space storm through the airlocks and blast the enemy. Whether on a base, starship, or planet, the Marines will teach the enemy a lesson they will not soon forget! The rulebook was updated in 2007 and the SSD book was updated in 2007 and again in 2010; the counters remain the same.

The rulebook has three new rules, new ship descriptions, and 16 new scenarios. The new rules are (D15.0) Ground Combat, (D16.0) Advanced Boarding Party Combat, and (E20.0) Transporter Artillery. There are also numerous Boarding Tables. The SSD book contains SSDs for General, Federation, Klingon, Romulan, Kzinti, Tholian , Orion, Hydran, Andromedan, Lyran, WYN, Inter-Stellar Concordium, and Lyran Democratic Republic commando ships. There are boarding party diagrams for all those empires and also the Seltorians.

The rulebook provides additional rules, ship descriptions, scenarios, and Boarding Tables for use in Star Fleet Battles. Matching ships and boarding party diagrams are in the SSD books. You must have the Module M Rulebook, SFB Basic Set, or Master Rulebook in order to utilize this material. Most of the ships require the Advanced Missions set or the SFB Master Rulebook. Some material will also require Modules C1, C2, and C3 to be used to full effect.

Star Fleet Battles Module R3 Rulebook and SSD Book Available from Multiple Sources

Shipyards throughout known space are preparing even more new ships for service in the Star Fleet Universe!

Newly updated in 2017, the 58-page rulebook includes rules for Klingon penal ships. It also has the descriptions for the ships included in the R3 SSD books. These include ships for the Klingons (including D7, D6 and D5 variants; the SparrowHawk light cruiser from the Romulans; F6; and E5), Hydrans (including the Lord Bishop, Outrider and variants, war cruiser variants, and Iron Duke), Lyrans (including the Yaguarundi light carrier, Siberian Lion Space Control ship, and Prairie Cat survey ship), and WYN (including the Orion-built Double Raider and the captured Klingon KE4).

It also has the following scenarios: Quarantine (Federation and Klingon), Justice Denied (WYN and Kzinti), Sacred (Kzinti and Lyran), Moment of Glory (Lyran and Hydran), Dictator's Diplomat (Federation, Klingon, and Romulan), and Radey to the Rescue (Federation and Klingon). Of course, it also has the section of the Master Ship Chart that pertains to the ships included.

The Star Fleet Battles Module R3 SSD Book is available in print and as an e-book. As an e-book, you have a choice of the original black-and-white SSDs or the color ones. This 82-page SSD book from covers the Klingons, Lyrans, Hydrans, and WYNs. Included are such ships as the Klingon C7 heavy battlecruiser and F6 battle frigate, Hydran Lord Bishop command cruiser and Iron Duke heavy carrier, Lyran Siberian Lion space control ship and Hellcat heavy battlecruiser, and WYN Double Raider (Orion built) and escort (a Klingon E4J that mutinied and fled to the WYN Cluster).

This SSD book was fully updated to the 2012 standard including Crawford Tables, updated refit lines (including the date the refit began), advanced shuttle tables, and all known errata items.

This product provides additional ships for use in Star Fleet Battles. You must have the SFB Basic Set in order to utilize this material. You will need SFB Module C1: New Worlds I (or the SFB Master Rulebook) to use the Hydran, Lyran, and WYN ships. Some of the ships require the Advanced Missions set or the SFB Master Rulebook.

Star Fleet Battles: Module S1 - Scenario Book #1 Is Now Available as a PDF

More than 50 Scenarios!

This exciting module for Star Fleet Battles adds 51 scenarios to the SFB game system. Scenarios are the meat and potatoes of the Star Fleet Universe, the place where history is told and battles are fought. Virtually all of the scenarios in this book are reprinted from the Commander's Edition; all of these were revised to meet the Captain's Edition rules. The layout of this PDF may vary slightly from the print edition as we went back to the old files and made the book searchable.

You will find general scenarios that happened regularly in many empires through the Alpha Octant. You may have to rendezvous with a repair ship that is under attack, raid a survey camp, destroy a pirate raider, or rescue a trapped freighter. Be alert for intruders on board your ship!

There are 31 historical scenarios including the Pleiades Turkey Shoot, The Cassini Incident, Strike at Rigel IV, Mutiny on the Demonslayer, and Border Incident. Discover the history of the Star Fleet Universe!

There are monsters here, too, from the alien artifacts Igneous and Death Probe to the Energy Monster and Arastoz. Can you defeat them?

How does a frigate captain become a cruiser captain? There is a frigate captain campaign included.

We have recreated the asteroid belt map in both B&W and color. These are both included.

You must have the SFB Basic Set to use this material. Some material may require other products, including Advanced Missions, Modules C1 and C2, Module J and Module K.

Battle Damage: Code Red Available in PDF

Finally an end to the tedious die rolling to resolve damage in Star Fleet Battles! Now you can use this fast and easy card system to resolve damage in a fraction of the time it took before. A deck of cards, using a one-hit per card system, provides an innovative damage allocation procedure which includes eighteen different critical hits.

Battle Damage: Code Red is a play aid for Star Fleet Battles, Designer's Edition. You must have Star Fleet Battles to use this play aid. While the cards do not reflect the actual damage your ship would receive if using the Damage Allocation Chart, some players have found this an interesting, faster addition to play.

The instructions have been retyped. There are images for either color or B&W card backs, along with the front of the cards.

Battle Damage: Code Red is available from these sources:

Monty, X1 would have to be brought up to current standards, so it is a ways off at this point.

Module G3 and Module G3A Now Available in PDF

"What is this thing, Lieutenant? A Dominator?"

"Negative, Admiral, wrong weapons configuration. Checking database now. Phasers, tractor-repulsors ... not a Dominion. Not a Dominatrix. Not a Destructor. Got it! This thing is a Demolisher!"

Long requested by fans, Module G3 - Master Annex File and Module G3A - Supplementary Annexes are now available as PDFs. Fully keyword searchable, these annexes have all sorts of useful information in them. Particularly valuable is the Master Ship Chart with all the ships from Basic Set; Advanced Missions; modules C1-C4, F1, F2, J, J2, K, M, P6, R1-11, C, X1R, Y1, and Y2; and Captain's Logs #1-#38.

Released in 2009, the Module G3 - Master Annex File includes all of the key annexes (except #5) from all of the Alpha Octant products (including the "previously missing" ISC gunboat data, now inserted at the end, along with information about Vudar and Hydran fighters) for Star Fleet Battles. It indexes Basic Set; Advanced Missions; modules C1-C4, F1, F2, J, J2, K, M, P6, R1-11, C, X1R, Y1, and Y2; and Captain's Logs #1-#38.

Module G3 includes the Master Ship Chart, Master Fighter Chart, Master Gunboat (PF) Chart, Sequence of Play, Commander's Option Items, Data on Ships, Weapons Data, Cost of Repair Chart, Tactical Intelligence, Experience Points, Monster Data Table, Index of Play Aids, Symbols on Fighter SSDs, Mech-Link Symbols on SSDs, Shuttle Decks on Bases, Base Rotation Change Costs, Technology Timeline, Master Weapon Charts, Compilation of Convenient Charts, Damage Allocation Chart, and Impulse Chart. It also has an index to Star Fleet Battles.

Module G3A includes even more indexes and annexes to help flesh out your Star Fleet Battles "master book" series. It has the SFB Master Table of Contents (including the rules number and module for any rules and scenarios in the Alpha Octant that appeared in Basic Set; Advanced Missions; modules C1-C4, F1, F2, J, J2, K, M, P6, R1-11, C, X1R, Y1, and Y2; and Captain's Logs #1-#39); Annex #5 (an alphabetical listing of all the abbreviations used in Star Fleet Battles); the Carrier Escort Chart, Master Scenario Index (in order by the scenario number); Master Scenario Chronological Scenario Index; and Index of Scenarios from Omega, Magellanic Cloud, and Triangulum Galaxy. The end of the book has maps of the two halves of the Alpha Octant.

Any serious player of Star Fleet Battles or the SFB Galactic Conquest campaign games needs these modules. Many people have used theirs until they fell apart and have asked for an e-version. We listened to them and here it is!

Is there any chance of getting the R2 rulebook as a pdf?

R3 & R4 were released quite some time ago, but R2 seems to be destined to be forever waiting. Sad

Star Fleet Battles Commander's Edition, Supplement #2 Available

"Sir, what is that? It is registering as tougher than our X-ship!"

"Lieutenant, that is a second-generation X-ship. Luckily, we aren't after the convoy it is protecting. Move out and report this to the admiral."

Long unavailable except in the second-hand market, we are releasing Supplement #2 in PDF. The buyer is reminded that the first-generation X-ships were heavily revised for the Captain's Edition of Star Fleet Battles. The second-generation X-ships presented here do not combine well with the ships in the later edition of SFB.

Star Fleet Battles Commander's Edition, Supplement #2 includes new rules, new SSDs, information about the "Trade Wars" era, six new scenarios, and a patrol campaign. Some existing scenarios and campaigns have suggestions for modification to use the new ships. Images for 108 counters are also included.

This has been scanned from the best available copy. You will need Star Fleet Battles Commander's Edition Volume I to use this material. Volumes II and III will be needed for some aspects. Please note that this title was designed by Mike Thompson.

SFB Commander's Edition, Supplement #2 is available from these sources:
