Do the Klingon D5E and the Gorn CLE have aegis? (The cards don't specify.) |

Yes, both ships qualify to use (3F) Aegis Rules. The Gorn CLE is even explicitly called out as qualifying in the rule itself. _________________

So is it safe to assume that any "escort" can use aegis, whether the ship card specifies it or not? |

Not entirely. It has to be an anti-drone/anti-fighter escort to qualify. A handful of other random ships (e.g. the Klingon E4 Escort) use the term "escort" in their name despite not being an "escort" in their game role.
At the same time, please do note any ships you think should have had the Aegis note so we can mark those and allow for eventual future updates to the ship cards. _________________

That is why we're trying to change the E4 from "escort" to "corvette" or "light frigate". We're not confused but we sure confused everybody else. _________________ The Guy Who Designed Fed Commander
