I'm a returning old player of FC after my son got interested in playing. The problem is we are living overseas and my physical copies of game and expansions are back State-side. So I grabbed some of the pdfs from Warehouse 23, which look great! I'm very glad to be able to buy these.

But does anyone know where the SSDs are for bases?

Would love to have a variety: starbases, base stations, platforms, etc. for each of the nations.

Starbase, BATS, and Base Station are all in SFB Basic Rules, which are available in PDF. The modules are in R-1, which is not yet in PDF format.

Hi Radagan,

FC hasn't gone for race-specific base cards (unlike SFB). I don't think these are available as PDF either; the only places I could see them was as parts of products (i.e. the SB is in Battleships Attack, there is a BATS in Klingon Border and Reinforcements Attack, the BS is in Tholian Attack and the MB is in Romulan Border). However, all is not lost as Communique #13 has BATS cards in a larger format, so that gets you something usable.

Enjoy!

The ship card provided in Klingon Border is a combo fleet scale Starbase/squadron scale Battle Station (backed with a single scale planet killer). A proper (both scales) Starbase was provided in Battleships Attack and a proper (both scales) Battle Station was provided in Reinforcements Attack.

The Base Station and Mobile Base are available where Sneaky noted.

The Commercial Platform and Defense Satellites are in Orion Attack.

Ground bases are available, along with the Battle Station mentioned above, in Reinforcements Attack.

And ... that's about it for bases in Federation Commander at the moment.

Thank you for all the replies. I thought I had SSDs for those somewhere, though it looks like we'll have to wait until I get back to Georgia at some future date. Hopefully, sales of FC's pdfs are favorable and more content is released that way as an option.

@Sneaky Scot, I really appreciate the tip on Communique #13. I'm pdf only at the moment. A BATS will make a great start to expand on, and will be fun to do so. I'd forgotten about the Communiques. Great stuff in those as I recall.

There is a reference ship chart on line listing all of the ship cards and telling what product they are in.

@mjwest, Thank you for the link.

@Mike, Thank you very much for your summary! There are quite a few Communique to go through, which while a great problem have, you've definitely put an index to some must print now articles!

Thank you everyone for all the help and patience as I get my head back into the game.

I believe there are some ship card diagrams in the Communiques that are not referenced in the online PDF listing. For example, the Juggernaut is listed in the PDF as being in Klingon Attack, but it is also in Communique #68 in both scales. There are probably others, as well. For someone who wants to play the game, but who is out of the country with limited access to physical products, the ship diagrams shown in the Communiques might be a great resource.
