Reading through the rules on the Displacement Device...
What am I missing--don't these two rules contradict each other?
(5U4b2) Seeking weapons displaced by a unit
other than the one they were tracking lose their target
and are removed from play.
(5U6b) Seeking Weapons: All seeking weapons
targeted on the displaced unit continue to follow their
target, assuming the conditions in (4F2e) are still met. |

What you are missing is that the first one (5U4b2) refers to a seeking weapon, an individual drone/plasma/SS, that was displaced. The 2nd one (5U6b) refers to seeking weapons that are targeted on a unit (ship) that was displaced.
So if you launch a plasma torpedo at a Dominator and the plasma is displaced then it falls under the first rule. If the Dominator is displaced then the 2nd rule.
Hope this helps. |

Y'know even as a veteran player I have always wanted to ask that question, and have simply never got round to it. Thank you gentlemen for a) asking and b) clearing it up! _________________
