Is the cost of using transporters the same for small ships as it is for, say, a destroyer or a cruiser?
By small ship I am referring to ships that have only 1 transporter.
The transporter rules make a special allowance for a Commercial Platform where using the transporter only costs 1/2 energy point.
What about a skiff or Free Trader? Still 1 full energy point? _________________ Mike

The cost to use transporters is not (necessarily) one point of energy. Rather, it is the same as one hex of movement. So, it is one point of energy for a heavy cruiser, but only one half point for a destroyer. The reason bases are listed separately is because the have no movement rate. _________________
