hello everyone

another newbie with a question about seeking weapons

it say that the seeking weapon automatically hits the ship (p15) i take this to mean that no AD rolls are made to hit 4+ with a 6 being shield leakage.

however is the damage from a drone or plasma applied to the hull direct or absorbed by the shields first?

what does "with damage spread around the entire target ship, no rolls are made to see if the weapon penetrates Shields" really mean

a) no leaky shields, all damage absorbed by shields as a normal weapon

b) no damage absorbed by shields at all, all damage applied to hull

in SFB and FC it of course is applied to the shields, but in ACTA it seems a bit ambiguous

all the best

fritz

It means that with no "to hit" roll made, there is no possibility of bypassing the shields.
All seeking wepon damage is scored on the shields, until the shields are gone. Any damage remaining is then applied to the hull.
