Hello I am an older SFB player who is new to FC.
I am liking what I see so far however I am confused as to which SSD I am supposed to be using ( please do not refer me to the master ship charts I have already been there). The confusion arises when cards are released in boxed sets ( core boxes or packs ) and then they are also revisions in the communique and also versions in the Captains Logs. To further add confusion is when the ones from the communique are latter released in the product sets.
Could we please get a chart listing the order the cards have been released , their full update history, and also the most relevant version. I do not care about point values , I just need to know what cards I need and which ones I need to upgrade from and to ( btw I applaud you on the ssd section of the site ).
The old master ship chart that went by card number was a good start but fell vastly out of date. Speaking of master ship charts, A more complex legend at the bottom would be a good idea as I have no idea what some of the card numbers are referencing.
Thank you

A new MSC was posted last week.
The ones in Communiques that were previously in products are all marked, each one, as to whether it corrects and error in the card or just snazzies up the graphics and provides a printable form. _________________ The Guy Who Designed Fed Commander

SVC has already provided the definitive answer, but I'll add that only *very* rarely have cards been revised for errors/changes.
There are revisions in every Communique, but 95% of them are just moving the graphics around (which is really just a way to put the card there so we can have free downloadable versions to make as many as we need - ADB is clever like that).
I don't think any card has ever been revised in Captains Log - those are always new ships or variants.
The few revisions that have been done, were done in Communique and then eventually peeled off as separate downloads in the Revisions section of Commander's Circle. _________________

Hi Jack and welcome to the forums and to the game
This may be helpful for you too - all the boosters and their contents [which ship is where] are listed here:
http://www.starfleetgames.com/federation/booster_pack.shtml
It's a bit backwards from how SVC has given you the info in this thread, but if it works for you that way round, great _________________

I think you may want to look at the "
Hydran Ranger Heavy Cruiser
Both Scales, From Communique #17
[ 26.1 Kb | Last updated: 03/18/06 ]" download in the ssd section for the hydrans.
The number on the card shows as card number 108 which is for "
108
Overlord Heavy
Battlecruiser
"
I think by the msc it should be "
129
C17
Ranger Cruiser
RN
"
by the way is it possible to get a copy of the MSC that is sorted by the card number ? |

If you email me a 'customer request' for an MSC in card number order, I'll put it into my Wednesday file. Every Wednesday I take two hours and do as many of the things in that file as I can, so eventually it would get done. _________________ The Guy Who Designed Fed Commander

Actually, I decided to do this, since it would be simple to do. Four hours later, it turned out not to be that simple, but it is done and I will send it to Eric in a minute. _________________ The Guy Who Designed Fed Commander
