I'm a GURPS guy and I have been for decades. I just can't stand D20, having tried it for Deadlands (blah), Heavy Gear (egads that sucked) and Mutants and Masterminds (hey, what do you know, that actu ... |

I will take the range-8 shot at rear shields when flying a Fed, particularly if it is near the end ... |

I feel like a complete doofus over this. I'm a huge GURPS guy, but never noticed the FC/SFB stuff at e23 until the other day when I saw someone, here, talk about the Reference Rulebook. Needless to ... |

The last three posts are exactly my problem. It's very much putting all your eggs in one basket. If you hit with your photons, you, very likely, have one less enemy to worry about. If you miss with ... |

May I suggest you play with and against every race in the game a few times?
Working on that, but I'm limited by both opponents (not that many around here) and ship cards (but I'm collecting more).

And this is why I'm here. I'm sayi ... |

Consider this. Why would a fleet sit in open space and just take a pounding?
Because if you're defending a stationary target, a fixed, small map makes no sense. Your attackers know where the target ... |

Mark, you seem to have misunderstood the rules. It doesn't take four turns to overload your photons. Overload energy can be added on either of the arming turns, or afterwards too.
Aha, okay, that's s ... |
